Who has been reading my blog lately knows that I like to write posts with a message. I often question our behaviour and how we attack life. I’m aware that I’ve got a fashion blog but I believe that there is a connection between fashion and our feelings. We often express our mood with our outfits. Even our personality reflects in the way we combine items and to what type of clothing we reach out to grasp. That is why I think those type of posts fit to me blog as well.
With a big thank you to L’Amotion I’ve got a good example for you guys today. About 5 months ago, my ex-boyfriend and me broke up. We were together for about 3,5 years and lived together for about 2,5 years in the Netherlands where he comes from. After the break-up it took me a while to find myself again and figure out what kind of person I want to be. What happens next? Where do I want to build up a new life? What kind of woman do I want to be?
You can’t plan out your life
Life doesn’t always go according to plan but perhaps that’s better this way. Perhaps the life that is waiting for you is way better than you once imagined it. I’ve never thought that I would go back to Germany but now I am here and it feels great. I’ve got a new job at a fashion PR agency in Hamburg. I’m closer to my oldest and best friends again and love it. I still get to train at a CrossFit box and have learned to be excited about the turn in my life. I just had to remind myself what a carefree and independant woman I am and what awesome things will be waiting for us, if you don’t hang on to things that failed in the past but focus on all the opportunities this world has in petto. Traveling the world, striving after your dream job, enjoying the time with your best friends to the fullest, creating a bucket-list and ticking off every goal step by step – you are wild & free. You just have to remind yourself again and tackle life. My ring by L’Amotion with the embossing “Wild & Free” does exactly that for me. I look at it and know that I am independant and free and that all doors are open to me.
By the way, the whole outfit you’ll see in my latest outfit post “outfit idea: crop top in fall with victorian blouse and biker boots“.
