The bloggertrip to the beautiful Maiensässhotel Guarda Val with HashMAG was already a little over a week ago. Two days we were spoiled so much in Switzerland. With “we” I’m talking about

Ravi from raviwalia.com
Theresa from telishah.blogpost.de
Ania from overdivity.com
Michelle from itsgoldie.com
Julia from The Travel Tellers on Youtube.

It was such a fun group to go on a bloggers trip with. I haven’t laughed this much in such a long time. My belly was constantly in pain, I was this close to get abs. haha Thinking about it, I just want to go back for another couple of days and continue where we stopped.

When we arrived on Sunday on a 1,400m high mountain it was mostly green. Just a couple minutes after our arrival it seriously started snowing until all surfaces were completely white a couple hours later. It looked amazing. I’m from the north of Germany, where I haven’t seen such white landscapes in way too long.

Hotel room at Guarda Val

Every blogger of us got his own room. When I first walked into my room, I was positively surprised. The room was bigger than my tiny 30m² apartment in Germany where I currently live. I’ve got a rustic four-poster bed with a view to the tv and lots of windows that looked at a white landscape. Next to that there was a chimney that got such a rustic and cool look which gave the whole room a beautiful charm. In the spacious bath room I got to feel the same vibes. The ball-and-claw bath was a bit of a highlight to me. When we came back to the rooms after our first dinner for example, all of us were surprised with a full bath tub, romantic petals, a lighted candle and fruits. We had actually planned to quickly go to our rooms and then meet for some wine at Michelle’s room but that plan was canceled as soon as we saw the surprise. Can you blame us?

Spa and gym area at Maiensässhotel Guarda Val

We were also allowed to use the spa and gym area of the hotel. Tuesday morning I spend a couple of rounds of 1,000m on the Concept2 rower, which I already knew from CrossFit. At a 1,400 height it definitely became a challenge for my lungs at some point. Theresa and Ania joined as well which was awesome, since I could help Theresa with her rowing technique for her upcoming CrossFit event “Curox” in Hamburg, Germany.

The gym was quite small but it was enough to get a nice session in. It has got the best view that I’ve ever got in a gym. The front was mostly out of glass and thus revealed the big mountain landscape. However, I was missing some basics like a pull-up-bar but that might just be the crossfitter inside of me speaking.

Overall the spa area was really relaxing and beautiful. For instance, I have never been in a hot tub before, so that was another highlight to me.

Restaurants at Hotel Guarda Val

The food in the restaurant of Hotel Guarda Val was really good. The breakfast was varied and tasty. There was a juice extractor, so you could make your own multivitamin juice. Nice, right?

In the same restaurant we had lunch on both days which was really tasty as well and got a nice menu. The tastiest three-course-meal you found at their second restaurant. At that one they have a chef who has been awarded with a Michelin star.

I think there was too little choice for vegetarians but I believe that vegetarians say that way too often.

Activities around the hotel

There were two activities outside of the hotel. The day of our arrival we went to visit “Fleischtrocknerei Brügger” in Parpan, the closest idyllic village. I’ve mostly been eating vegetarian for about a month now but I still thought it was really interesting to see and hear, since it’s globally the only Fleischtrocknerei that still carries on this craft. Furthermore, they are only using high quality meat, since they believe it ruins the taste otherwise.

On the second day we actually went to visit the farmer next door in order to milk cows (!). It was super much fun with the group. Imagine 6 fancy bloggers being on a farm – some of them for the very first time – and milking cows. It reminded us of The simple life with Paris Hilton and Nicole Richie.

In between we did some photoshootings. In the pictures below you’ll see out shooting for Orsay. The cosi sweater, the red leather skirt, the tights and the bag are from Orsay. I’m super happy with those items. I already know that I’m going to wear the sweater a lot during the upcoming cold months.

Conclusion

All of us were super happy with the hotel. If you like to go on a relaxing vacation, this hotel is a good choice. You get awesome food, a room that invites you to stay and relax as well as a landscape that is just amazing when there is snow. And those who like skiing will be pleased as well, since Lenzerheide is a ski area.
