5 ways to overcome jealousy

What if we cheered each other on instead of wishing them to fail, so they don’t overtake our achievements.

What if we tried to be happy for each other’s successes and be able to leave jealousy behind.

What if we focused on our own progress instead of comparing it all the time to the one of the others.

What if ….

We cant live our best life if we are too busy wishing we had someone elses success

It took me a long time to actually understand the word “community” and the great meaning behind it. The past year I’ve learned a lot about myself and the people around me. I’ve learned what it truely means to be part of a community and to support each other while you are also being competitors.

Fake interest and cheer are sadly way too often the result of jealousy and resentment. And with that we ruin great moments and maybe even periods in someone’s life as well as your own life even. Jealousy is of course not only something bad, it’s human to feel jealous from time to time. However, we must prevent that we wallow in it and spoil this great feeling of a real community.

Here are 5 ways to overcome jealousy:

1. Good and honest cheer will be returned. Don’t forget about that!

2. You’ll be happier with yourself knowing that you are truely happy for another person, even if you feel a little bit jealous.

3. Use the feeling of jealousy to motivate yourself to achieve your goals and even to set new goals if necessary!

4. Remember your own good traits and achievements in life, when you start to feel jealous.

5. “Learning to ignore things is one of the great paths to inner peace.” – Robert J. Sawyer (So don’t give in to your jealousy.)
